Diabetes Family Tree
Today is Diabetes Art Day!!!!! In honor of this day, I decided to pay tribute to the DOC, or as I like to think of it, my diabetes family. And so, I present to you my Diabetes Family Tree.
Many thanks to Lee Ann Thill of The Butter Compartment for making Diabetes Art Day possible.

As suspected, this is even more UH-Mazing on a comp screen rather than an iPod. This is such a wonderful idea and such a great tribute to the DOC. I think it really explains why we work so well – we’ve got strong roots, and if one of us should falter, there’s always plenty of “branches” around to help hold us up. AWEsome piece!

That is so beautiful, Mike, not just visually, but the sentiment behind it too. I think it very much reflects how we all feel about the DOC 🙂

Wow, Mike, that is so amazing!!! I already knew you were a great artist, so I knew you’d have something outstanding. But you blew away every expectation. The beauty of the piece itself, the message it conveys, the whole package – it leaves me grasping for words to describe how it touches me. It really should be framed and hung and looked at every day! It would be so inspiring, both in the toughest times and in the good times.
