It’s Diabetes Awareness Month
Today is the 1st day of November, and the beginning of Diabetes Awareness Month. As you can see, My Diabetic Heart is draped in Diabetes Blue, and has been since the middle of October, when I first announced the idea of Going Blue for the month of November, and invited everyone else to follow suit. Several other D-Bloggers have already changed their blogs to Diabetes Blue, and I thank them for their support. It’s not too late to join the fun either. So get your blog paint brush out, and GO D BLUE!
Today is also SAE It Loud Day, which is an AWEsome idea from my friend, Sarah, over at the Sugabetic blog. Pay her a visit for more details.
I’ll also be participating in a few other Diabetes Awareness activities throughout the month of November, and encourage everyone else to do so as well.
Each Friday during November, I will be wearing Blue in support of Cherise Shockley’s Blue Fridays initiative.
Diabetes Blog Day is November 9th. The topic this year is: 6 things you want people to know about diabetes.
November 14th is World Diabetes Day, and I will be participating in the Big Blue Test.
I’m sure I’ll add more activities to the list as the month goes on, but those are the big ones that I know will happen.
Now I’m off to check my blood sugar. Ciao!

Hey Mike! Thanks for the shoutout!
I had actually had my whole blue dblog theme ready to go mid-October anyway to where all I had to do was click the button and it changed it all for me, but I’ll gladly give you the credit for the idea! 😉 LYLAB
